⏻ ELECTRONICS / PCB DESIGN & MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Bleeke

Hardware taken from schematic to shipped product — I designed it, built the line, and ran production myself.

EET-trained and production-tested: control boards and a handheld ECU tuner carried into commercial production, several thousand units assembled on pick-and-place equipment. Now exploring AI-assisted software, embedded systems, and test automation on top of that foundation.

Based in Cambodia — open to equipment, SMT and manufacturing engineering roles, and contract hardware work

About
01 — Background

From schematic to shipped hardware

I'm an electronics and PCB design & manufacturing engineer with hands-on experience taking hardware from concept and schematic through PCB design, prototyping, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and production.

I designed the RZR ECU tuner board — then ran its production myself on pick-and-place equipment, several thousand units.

My background spans both design and manufacturing. I designed the control boards used in Modbar espresso equipment and the PCB for the SuperATV/Polaris RZR (REV1) handheld ECU tuner, then ran production on the RZR board myself. I've also designed multiple electronic badges for the DEF CON Car Hacking Village, set up and ran an assembly line, and reworked an existing GSM/GPS asset-tracking design — built around a PIC microcontroller — to meet updated customer requirements. On the manufacturing side I've worked directly with SMT assembly, reflow soldering, stencil printing, pick-and-place, production testing, component sourcing, and inventory, including the practical problems that come up when parts go unavailable mid-production. My PCB design tools have progressed from DipTrace to Altium.

I'm now building on that foundation by expanding into software and engineering automation, working with AI assistance (I direct the projects and test the hardware; the code is AI-written) — tools that reduce repetitive engineering work, automate hardware testing, and make electronics workflows more efficient. I'm looking to apply that combination — real manufacturing-floor hardware experience plus growing software and automation skill — to challenging engineering problems, whether in hardware, embedded systems, or test automation roles.

Where it was built

Electronics / PCB Design & Manufacturing Engineer OCT 2012 — JAN 2020
Specialized Solutions LLC
Contract · New Haven, Indiana · Hybrid
  • Designed control boards for Modbar espresso machine equipment — commercial hardware and control electronics carried through to production.
  • Designed the PCB used in the SuperATV/Polaris RZR (REV1) handheld ECU tuner; ran PCB production for the product on pick-and-place equipment, several thousand units.
  • Designed multiple electronic badges for the DEF CON Car Hacking Village.
  • Took over and modified an existing GSM/GPS asset-tracking schematic (PIC microcontroller-based) for a vehicle-mounted system used on home-restoration equipment, recreating and revising it in DipTrace to meet updated requirements.
  • Worked across PCB design, schematic capture, and hardware design using DipTrace, later transitioning to Altium.
  • Set up and ran an assembly line for the company.
Electronics Manufacturing Engineer JAN 2020 — MAR 2025
Miltec Circuits LLC
Contract · Leo, Indiana · Hybrid
  • Supported production of bare/blank PCBs.
  • Set up and ran PCB assembly equipment; ordered parts and managed inventory for assembly jobs.
  • Performed PCB design work as needed.
  • Helped improve the company's PCB assembly capabilities.
Work
03 — Working with me

Hire the hardware side

Available for contract hardware engineering — one-off or ongoing. A design-for-manufacturing review is a good way to start before committing to a larger engagement.

PCB Design & Layout

Schematic capture through layout, in Altium or DipTrace, for prototypes and production-ready boards.

DFM Review

A design-for-manufacturing pass on an existing board before you commit to a production run.

Prototype Assembly

Hand assembly and bring-up for prototype and low-volume boards.

Production Support

Sourcing, inventory, and troubleshooting to keep an existing product's manufacturing running smoothly.

Things I've built

Four DEF CON Car Hacking Village badges (2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019), an LED speedometer gauge, and a large-format CO2 laser cutter I built from components, plus what I'm building now.
